Products with colours
Use colour variants when your product comes in different colours — each with its own photos, price, and stock.
How colour variants work
- Each colour has its own name, hex code (for the colour swatch), stock count, and price override
- Each colour can have up to 4 photos shown when that colour is selected
- Price override is optional — leave blank to use the base price
- You can mark individual colours as inactive if they're out of stock
- 01
Choose 'With Colours' as product type
This adds the Colors tab to your product form.
- 02
Go to the Colors tab
Click 'Add Colour' to create your first colour variant.
- 03
Enter the colour name and swatch
Name: e.g. 'Midnight Black'. Pick the hex colour for the swatch shown on the product page.
- 04
Set stock and optional price override
Enter how many units you have for this colour. If this colour costs more, enter a price override — otherwise leave blank.
- 05
Upload colour-specific images
Upload up to 4 photos for this colour. These swap in when the customer selects this colour.
- 06
Repeat for each colour
Click 'Add Colour' again and repeat for every colour variant.
Stock is auto-calculated
When you have colour variants, the total product stock is automatically calculated as the sum of all colour stocks when you save. You don't need to enter a separate base stock.
